IDEA’s Vision Statement

A world where all humans are free to convert their nature-endowed potentials into the highest skills to enjoy its benefits in order to live happy and productive.

IDEA will pursue its vision by highlighting the intimate relationship between democracy and education. Our vision will be materialized in a world in which democracy goes beyond voting rights and creates an environment that offers citizens the means to gain the knowledge necessary to make informed and intelligent choices that will promote the public good. We seek a world in which democracy is established beyond a mere political system into a global ethical value. We plan activities that will focus on understanding the philosophies of beliefs and by critically questioning them in order to make them useful for each era. We will take into account scientific, technological, cultural, and philosophical developments to meet the needs of changing times. In short, we will use every tool at our disposal to ensure that humans everywhere in the world are informed, knowledgeable and wise. A vision that is only achievable through education which in this capacity will be regarded as a moral purpose.
